JMDA Announced As Finalist In Chamber Awards
The eagerly awaited Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce Business Awards for 2017 have announced the finalists with JMDA Design being proudly selected in the ‘Exporter of the Year’ category.
A highlight in the business calendar for the two counties, The Chamber Awards celebrates the successes of local businesses, overcoming challenges and enhancing the local economy. The category of ‘Exporter of the Year’ sponsored by Malvern Instruments is set in particular high regards, as breaking geographical boundaries in trade and forging links internationally poses so many complex challenges. JMDA Design through years of dedication to growing their business have an established office in Shanghai, China and new partnerships across the globe to enhance their service capability in product design.
The winner of the ‘Exporter of the Year’ category will be announced at the Worcester Arena on 15th June, at a black tie dinner in celebration of business achievements across Hereford and Worcestershire. Cherril Barker, Director of JMDA Design is delighted with being selected as a Finalist saying… “As there were 100 businesses that entered the category for ‘Exporter of the Year 2017’ we were obviously thrilled to become a finalist! Our business which specialises in designing children’s car seats, has grown rapidly in the last five years and this is because of our growing links with the rest of the world. Our office in Shanghai is managed by Jason Song and has been an invaluable asset in understanding the Asian market. We also export our design services across America and European markets, from early design concepts right the way through to manufacture and support for retailers”. She adds “All the team from JMDA Design will be at the awards ceremony on the 15th June, absorbing the energy and excitement around celebrating local, national and international businesses. We’ve just celebrated our 25th anniversary in business so winning this award would be extra special for us all.”
JMDA Design won a prestigious Red Dot Design Award last year for Design Concept of the innovative YKO SMART Child Restraint System (C.R.S) and is no stranger to winning awards. In 2010 JMDA Design were winners of the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce ‘International Business of the Year’ Award. As the company goes from strength to strength they hope that awards will continue to adorn the walls of their Head Office in Pershore, Worcestershire.
