JMDA features in TIME’s 100 Best Inventions of 2020
Leading child car seat designer JMDA Design, announce their design of the hifold fit and fold highback booster seat for mifold, features in TIME’s 100 Best Inventions of 2020.
Every year, TIME highlights inventions that are making the world better and smarter, with a judging panel of industry experts, editors and correspondents around the world. The multi award-winning product hifold, that was designed by Worcestershire based JMDA Design working with the inspiring team at mifold, features in this year’s TIME’s 100 Best Inventions of 2020 with a ground-breaking design, that encompasses effectiveness, creativity with real-life practicality.
The hifold fit-and-fold booster seat which was designed by JMDA has already won awards for innovative design, including the International Design Award (IDA) Gold Winner in 2018 and a German Design Award 2020. Working with JMDA to design hifold, the dynamic Israel based company Carfoldio (mifold), radically challenges the established format of highback boosters with its compact design.

There were many design challenges we faced and had to overcome with the team at mifold, working together we developed the compact and foldable hifold design to meet safety regulations, bringing a unique concept to reality.
