Junior Designer Helena Lewis and Emma Harris Product Design Engineer, are heavily involved in design and engineering of child restraint systems and continue their training as part of the company wide CRS skills and engineering developmental programme. Furthermore to deliver the objectives of design excellence.
Emma Harris explains the importance of the course “There is so much to consider with child car seat safety, with the use and installation being key areas which many retailers and in-turn consumers fail to do correctly. Gaining IOSH accreditation is important for me and gives a wider understanding of the products and the industry. In particular to be better informed to meet the design and engineering challenges I deal with every day”.
Helena Lewis says “It was an intense days training looking at the topic of child car seat safety from all angles. There was so much that I didn’t know and needed to know! The knowledge I’ve gained will certainly help in delivering stronger user friendly designs and enable me to design better solutions in my role at JMDA Design.”
JMDA Design are celebrating their 25th year in business with Directors Derrick Barker and Cherril Barker leading the field in child car seat design across the globe.
